you're right in anticipating anons are gonna freak out on it lol.
ia with the other anons to just say "no [x]" on your toplevels. if you want to be more specific you can also have an "rp wish list" post in your journal where you have a more detailed list of things you don't want to play out, including the ship you have which is exclusive.
if people tag you despite listing your preference you don't really have to entertain those tags. i know you already said you don't want to leave them hanging but like ... they're the ones who didn't read. i'd just not tag them.
ftr i don't think it's weird, if you and your irl friend had an agreement about how you want to plan out your characters, then that's something that other people don't need to be concerned about really. 🤷
