the only reason i haven't moved entirely over to f-list is quality control. dwrp has a host of its own issues, but when i engage someone over here, i'm pretty much guaranteed they will be a good writer. yes yes subjectivity blah blah but it's not all that easy to find someone who's a good, literate writer over on f-list.

i don't mind shitty, who-cares-about-canon plotless smut with my characters over there sometimes, but it's like, the difference between coming home to a steady partner and going out and getting intoxicated and having wild sex you won't really remember. the latter might be more fun and exciting in the moment but the former is much more comfortable and rewarding.
