representation is a MUCH BIGGER part of western lgbt sociopolitics than it is in japan
that doesn't mean that it's not an issue to anyone in japan ever at all, but it does mean that the political landscape looks very different than it does in the west
if you actually have the knowledge on the subject that you claim to, then you would stop trying to undercut someone who is trying to make the point that the differences between lgbt politics in america and japan matter, not trying to insist that americans should never be challenged on their culturally narcissistic confirmation biases
the way local communities treat lgbt politics and the politics of representation are significantly different between the two countries. trying to shout people down for raising the issue of difference is just another arm of western narcissism
