part of it was that it undersold itself. the trailers and official blurbs did it no justice. another thing was that it came out in the same season as stuff like YuI, Jojo's, Mob Psycho 100, and a lot of other stuff that was just pretty much destined to eclipse it in terms of popularity. which isn't to say those shows were bad, but yeah, experimental magical girl show ain't gonna stand up much against the mainstream.
