I'm a player like that. I want to branch out, and play other characters but it's always conflict between doing a canon review and then a fight to get them voicetested, or just playing the one I have.

I am in the middle of canon review for one muse, but the canon is huge so it will take a while.

sounds more like the 800 comment journal is the one people actually want to thread with and the 50 comment journal is a disappointment

some players earn themselves good reputations especially when their characters aren't rped much. like you'd remember a great ron player because everyone tends to flock to rping harry or hermione.

Yup! I've offered icon commissions for other people who needed OC pictures in the past on rpanons, haven't done so recently because of other priorities. But yeah, I basically draw OC icons for myself when I already have a certain look I want that I know I can't get w/ PBs.

It depends very much on the particulars of the situation, both what the actual risk is, and what the people speaking up about it are actually saying.

I mean, yes, there are people who want seatbelts banned because one bruised their tit once while saving their life, but there's also half a generation who grew up using "McDonald's coffee lawsuit" as a shortcut for frivolous lawsuits everywhere.

they're just busy and don't feel the need to justify short-term absences. if it bugs you, seek out some more consistent partners.

it's pretty laughable, in a dark way, that the mcdonald's coffee lawsuit earned a reputation as frivolous. largely because it was a per-internet age and people just assumed the burns were minor, mostly because mickey d's PR firm made sure that's the impression the public got. but there's pretty much zero excuse for being that ignorant in this day in age.

looking at the npc page makes me glad that the bloody bones haven't appeared anywhere in ages.

I haven't but that's because of my characters being who they are.

Have discussed this on Plurk before, though. Think about all the flowers or glitter or whatever for really great sex. Or the bed breaking, having to explain the disappointed rain clouds when it sucked. Or things growing cold when say one partner can't satisfy the other but the one keeps saying it's okay, don't worry about it...

Number 3 drives me crazy because I took a forensics class in high school that was taught by an actual forensics examiner and the stuff she showed us in class was so graphic our parents had to sign permission slips for us to be in the class at the beginning of the year.

A lot of car accidents where forensics people are called in are ones where someone wasn't wearing a seatbelt. She basically made it clear that most car accidents where people don't wear seatbelts are fatal and what's left of you is usually in pieces.

I wish people would understand that yes, you can still get injured wearing a seatbelt, but you have way better chances when you're not launched through your windshield at 70 mph.

As for getting stuck because of a seatbelt, you can buy one of those doodads that you can use to cut your seatbelt and break a window to escape for like ten bucks.

It's the common trade language in the galaxy, it's not actually called English and there's a specific name for it. Most humans speak it, but I believe the accented humans grew up with different dialects, or have different alien origins (some species can cross-breed) and thus, have accents. Spain does not exist in the Star Wars galaxy, so Spanish isn't a language. "English" is the "common" tongue although written it looks like glyphs, so it likely doesn't actually sound like English, it's just presented in that way because it would be ridiculously complicated to come up with an entire alien language and subtitle all the movies.

Basically, you're supposed to be suspending your disbelief. There are different rules in Space Opera land.

gaein, preference for playing ein but i can also try gaelio! recent canon events has reignited the flame. i'm mostly interested in fluffy, established relationship/solidly heading in the direction of an established relationship in some kind of "miraculously everything is good and happy" AU/modern AU because canon is cruel enough already. i'm interested in smut but it's definitely not necessary.

alternately, ep43 spoilers also makes me want some kind of AU where gundams are co-piloted pacific rim style :''')
