1. Does your character like (or tolerate) other people or does your character hate dealing with them?
2. Are they expressing with their body language or is their body language as stilted as their words are?
3. Are there things in the game that would engage your character (such as a taciturn mage being shown new forms of magic) or would they be bored by the setting around them?
If he likes or at least tolerates people and has expressive body language you're good. You might have to write more about what they're doing but talking about how he's frowning and wrinkling his nose and taking a sniff before recoiling and grimly passing a jug along is just as good as him saying, "It looks foul, probably tastes like piss, and smells vile." If he's more understated in his body language then you might have to simply say he took a long look at the jug before passing it along, but then you can describe how the jug looks vile and the contents smell like the bad end of a constipated wyvern and compensate that way. Not all hooks in your tag have to come directly from what your character does.
If he doesn't like or tolerate people then you might be kinda fucked in that respect. I had this one person tag me who was a pain in the ass because their character was taciturn and hated people. Their first tag to me was, paraphrased, "[go the fuck away] What do you want?" Bad enough they're quiet, but quiet and hostile's especially tough to deal with. If they're hostile then people generally want to go the fuck away, and since they're quiet you don't even get the smartass quips and the possibility of an argument. In that case you'll have to get creative.
As a general rule, just look at your tags and ask yourself...if you got that tag could you reply pretty easily or not? If y, post comment. If n, go rewrite.
