Let's talk about the times you encountered awful RP friends in real life. I'll start.
I clicked really well with this one RP partner. We'd boomerang for hours and RP'd every scenario you can think of, played tons of characters, everything. We even met up at Disney World and had a great time. Eventually she falls on hard times and needed a place to crash with her cats. I foolishly let her.
It took nearly a year to get this womanchild out of my house. She'd do nothing but play on her computer, sleep during the day so I had to be quiet in the house, and keep me awake all night by slamming cupboards or doors. She smelled horrible and took a shower maybe once every two weeks. When she would bathe, she would dye her hair funky colors and stain my bathtub and sinks. She'd shave her vag and leave hairs everywhere. She never cleaned any litter boxes so I had to do it. She never cooked or bought food. She rarely left my couch for the entirety of her stay. Any time I approached the subject of her getting a job to help with bills, she'd say she was trying, no interviews, etc. I know this is a lie because I hooked her up with a part-time job at a friend's shop and my friend said she never called or put in an application. Eventually she met a girlfriend online and I'm ashamed to say I urged her to follow her heart and move in together, just to get her out of my life. She ended up leaving without the cats, which is for the better I guess. I still have them and they seem to have forgotten that dark time in their life.
Overall it was utterly exhausting. I don't have children but I imagine the experience is similar. She recently reconnected with me and I see she's been pulled into the Tumblr cult. She didn't even ask about the cats. She was more interested in what fandoms I'm in, so I lied and told her I quit RPing years ago. Sure dodged that bullet.
