That's the general argument, sure, but I'm sure some of them will settle into being queer and look back on bunself as being the shitty teen thing to do, not that all lgbtq is a phase. People who are going to hate were always going to hate. Stupid teenagers (or teen-alikes for those 20/30/40-somethings who are desperately making a grab to stay relevant in our youth and nostalgia-goggles obsessed culture) don't need ass-pats, but they don't need to be shit on, either. I don't feel like their dumb-ass exploration of nicher and edgier sexual preferences is going to harm or invalidate my identity or my rights. Making lgbtq groups a hostile place for them to transition to, however, DOES seem like a good way to make them cling to their echo chamber that much harder.

It's a complicated and stupid discussion.
