Well, yes. You responded to the mod of a game in development specifically to shit on their project. The kinder interpretation is to assume that your comment could be read as "hey, AYRT, you should make a game more appealing to DWRP at large, including people like me" and not "I'm going to take a thread that has nothing relevant to me and whine loudly, pretending all the while that this is somehow my personal corner and people are attacking me out of the blue." The former isn't nice, but at least it's productive.
I get your pain re: not wanting more m/m, but let me clarify a thing. When you start your own threads, they are statements into the void. When you reply to a thread, your statements will be taken in the context of that thread. The context of this thread was "OP wants to know about new games in development so that they can join one". The reply was "I'm making this m/m game!" Your statement was on-topic (if rude) if you were exclusively commenting on the m/m game, but in the larger context of "new games for OP", kind of pointless and self-centered.
