This is a weird thing I've noticed - as someone who's always played dominant characters (I'm m/m trash yes, but bear with me).
Players always seem to gravitate towards one role or the other, is that a thing? Like, I have friends who always take on a character with a more submissive personality, even without thinking. But then on the other hand, I have friends who've always played the more dominant role.
It's just sort of interesting that there's a preference - I'm curious as to why people choose between one and the other. Yeah, on one hand, it depends on which character appeals, of course, but there's definitely a preference that comes in before you choose the character you want to play, too - and of course, what role you write in threads.
I naturally gravitate towards assertive, or at least, nasty bad guys who will fuck everyone's shit up. But that's just my jam.
