On the other hand, Tamora Pierce has aged surprisingly well for me, even if her thing for young ladies and old dudes is really not my bag. That was more fantasy than sci-fi, though. I'd have killed for some sci-fi by women authors that didn't age poorly (Anne McCaffrey's pseudo-science comes to mind.)
