Or maybe you or they are really exaggerating. I've been in this hobby since 2006 and have only even been mentioned on WG once, in a neutral fashion. Most of the people I know have never been namedropped on WG, or if they have it was one mention that was forgotten in the next few days. And I've tagged with pretty massive wankers. Hell, I'm even friends with a few of the people WG froths about on a regular basis, so your claim that simply innocently tagging a wanker without knowing they were a wanker got your friend relentlessly wanked out of the hobby is dubious.

Chances are you either are a shitty writer (because if you want to say 'we're all shitty writers here' you must be aware of the lack of effort you put into it), or you posted logged in to defend yourself (which of course is going to make you a target), or a friend came out swinging in your defense, anon or otherwise, which made it look like a topic that could easily ruffle feathers.
