again, you're talking generalities. give us a specific comment you see as defensive. i've not read the whole thread (because jesus what a clusterfuck) but from what i have read i've only seen defensiveness from the moba side. the worst you can say about the casuals is that they get too aggressive, but as other anon explained there's kind of a reason why people in this community would find such remarks ignorant and objectionable

i haven't been heavily involved in this thread, but i do agree with the basic assertions that (a) "moba" is a technical term not widely not outside the hardcore gaming community, and (b) moba communities are toxic sludge pits to be avoided by anyone that's not a literal dudebro caricature. you yourself even admit the initial moba dudebro "needed to chill", so is there anything you're really objecting to at this point?
