my friend teaches in japan! she loves it, but was stressed out for a long time over how everyone sorta treated her like an alien, since she was a ~foreigner~. also she suddenly had a bunch of food allergies pop up, which I've seen happen to a few people I know who have moved to different countries.

that aside, though, she's been doing it for about three years now, and she loves it. the high schoolers she teaches seem like cool kids, and it's been a great experience for her.
