Additionally, when playing against characters like Hannibal, I'll add some info about my character's behavior and psyche that someone like Hannibal would likely pick up on, a lot of people do, in my experience, so long as they know it's ic for your canon (and this one's pretty iconic, so you're in luck!).
I'd focus more on getting his voice right. His astuteness and insight into his opponent can be faked convincingly with ooc canon knowledge and a bit of help from your rp partner. Most people like talking about their character and their inner workings, anyway. So if you'd enjoy playing him, go for it!
