medication, genetics, and metabolism are factors, sure, whatever. but what i've been saying FROM THE BEGINNING and what literally everyone arguing that subject has always said, is that you take those things in to account when determining how many calories you need to stay under per day
that's why there are no hard and fast "stick to 1500 calories" rules, because people are different sizes, have different activity levels, have different ~genetics~, etc
someone could lose weight on 1500cal a day, while the girl right beside her could gain weight. that's why it IS about calories. calories are your tailor-made plan. calories are far, far more important than exercise, since exercise only burns a surprisingly small amount of calories. it's about you determining the right calorie bracket for your god damn body
