english - native language
italian - i'm currently learning it anyway
urdu - my dad's family primarily speaks this whereas i'm a filthy assimilator
japanese - i've tried to learn it a lot to no avail
arabic - similar reasons to urdu. also it's gorgeous
spanish - it's a generally useful language
zulu & xhosa - my best friend's families speak zulu and xhosa, and I'd love to spend more time with them since not all of them speak english very well

i can't think of any others, though i have always wished i could understand a dead language like sumerian, or igneri (since my mother's family claims to be native carib) but that would be functionally useless to me
