Anon... that's not how you rec books. If you're going to rec something, at least be honest about it. Don't say there's 7 books when there's not. Just say 'Hey, they're only good up to this point', because otherwise you just come off salty. And I say that as someone that genuinely got into the series and loved it until it turned into porn. As far as the series itself is concerned, it's a longer one and it's ongoing, but if they only want to read up to Obsidian Butterfly, which is pretty much the point I've heard people say is the last book to read as a pretty steady consensus across the board, that's a legit thing to offer. You're being disingenuous when you're saying "Oh, sure, there's seven books to this series and it ends sort of in the middle but whatever" when anyone who's not familiar is going to look it up and think you just got your facts wrong. Because your rec didn't come across as tongue in cheek humor at all. I legit thought you only knew of seven books.
