i'd ease into the crazy introspection as a thread/cr grows and get a feel for who you're interacting with, since people can and will pull that lie detection bs with a character they're familiar with but you'll usually know right away if they are. go wild with it though YOU SHOULD IT'S FUN - but if you're worried about it make sure to note how genuine the smile seems and such so the other person knows they wouldn't be getting any of that read out on his face.

also imo i think the point he went totally off the deep end was the second he decided he was above the law and needed to kill people who opposed him too
