You know that joke about fainting from good news? Apparently that's a real thing. My co-workers said I was still conscious, but all I can remember is hearing the news and then suddenly I was sitting on the floor.
I still work, but all of my debt is paid off and I have enough set aside that I won't have to worry about retirement at all. Mostly it was enough to get me set up real well, so as long as I live within my means I shouldn't have to worry about money at all. Which is a huge relief, honestly, I spent way too much time worrying about how to budget enough for rent and food when 40% of my paycheck when to college and credit card debt.
