alternate option: the next game goes even further with the otaku bait (think senran kagura, neptunia, or even criminal girls levels of fanservice, but with husbandos thrown in alongside the waifus) to the point that the game will be practically impossible to localize unless they keep the fanservice in. they'll either give up on getting it out in english or hand the game off to xseed or another publisher.
