these games mean so much to me, but the fandom is comprised of spastic whiny 12-year-olds who do nothing but bitch about how many games there are and they'll never catch up and the "side games" are pointless... or crusty old purist veterans who refuse to see that the franchise has any flaws at all.

and the fic, my god the fic, it's all awful. so much character/reader bullshit and The Same Old Modern AU over and over and over again, ugh. my kingdom for some decent fanwork.
