societal standards of beauty are bs and we're all going to die anyway, why not enjoy the things you like? i'm 240 now, i generally slide between 220 and 240 lbs, and i'm perfectly fine with my body. there was a time when i was much thinner, it was when i had to bike or walk everywhere (after getting hit 3 times by cars i've sworn off biking)
i'm a lot more out of shape than i used to be but i don't have to walk or bike anywhere and mostly i spend my days sitting down. and yeah, i knew everyone pisses and moans about how sitting is ~sooooooooooo bad!~ for you but if i have to choose between 60 years of sedentary ease or 75 of being a worker bee, i'll take the 60 years easy. you can keep your walmart greeter job and your senior walks around the mall. i'll be happy to drift off peacefully in my sleep, lounging in my favorite easy chair with feet that haven't had to pound any pavement since 2009
