I actually like him a lot because he ISN'T that attractive. He kind of has this face that makes you double-take, and it's more memorable than some beautiful pretty boy Chris Pine/Ryan Reynolds/Matt Bomer/insert popular white actor here.

I think the look really works with the character, insecure and immature jerk that he is, even though I personally don't get the rampant "HE'S SO GORGEOUSSSSS" rants (I think it's just a Draco in Leather Pants wave). But anyways, everyone has their tastes, I suppose.
