¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

I'd also like to add that I sincerely doubt he'd be offended by ~bad language~ even if Joss thinks he would be. The guy was in the army; you cannot tell me that he hasn't heard bad language - or said bad language - around his fellow soldiers, especially during the heat of battle.

I enjoyed Natasha teasing him about it because it felt like she was herself again instead of reduced to a piece of ass, but that was about it.

Another Steve player here, and i agree with everything here. Steve is smart as hell, he can learn by observing other people using technology, and he's not as prudish as a lot of people seem to think he should be.

i don't think he was actually offended, since he caught himself right after (which i thought was weird, kind of like steve going "joss what the hell")

not defending joss's writing or the forced run-on gags, i just didn't take the scene as him being genuinely offended, more just that he hasn't spent time around soldiers in a while.

for me i justify it as steve being used to being the "face" of the avengers and in the public eye, which means you often have to have a cleaner persona. he did the same in wwii and he probably couldn't get away with saying a lot of things even if he was thinking them.

so it was just a slip of the tongue considering he was correcting tony, who has the least brain to mouth filter of them all.
