Relatively busy server, not legacy server levels but for non-legacy there's a good crowd, always people on. Overall it's mostly friendly and good about cooperation but ofc there's always your jerks and dumb shout channel arguments. Mostly though it's really nice and welcoming and has a lot of good FCs to choose from.

celeb is creepy, no matter how you slice it. playing any real person is creepy.

you'll find hunger games, marvel, and harry potter fandom games on ij. you'll also find original character settings. personally i've done all but the hunger games settings and had lots of fun. the OC games i've done, i've been super lucky with, because most of the writers were quality.

most ij games aim to last for a specific time range, though, and they'll state this upfront. the best ones tend to end after 12 months, and some fast-paced ones have really short arcs that end after just 3.

That's because the average moron thinks that super emo=has a few moments of being down/depressed for justifiable reasons. Emo lost meaning long before PA and triggers lost meaning on here.

dw is actually the only server i've seen where crit is a thing. on ij, most people either bitch about characters being OOC privately to each other, or it'll be the mods contacting the player about it. that doesn't mean you won't get judged if you're badly OOC on ij, though; you're just less likely to hear about it and less likely to get CR, because only the most forgiving people will want to play with you.

and agreed, there is more writing (i'm defining it as "threading") here than on ij, and fewer network posts. that said, ij does prose only for logs, and brackets aren't ever a thing unless your network post is like... a phone call.

the people i rp with on ij have actually stopped requiring sexuality in apps altogether (if applicants really want to explain something, they work it into their history sections), but most of ij still has shit like sexuality caps. this is partially an artifact left over from the dark days of the early 2000s when everyone wrote copious amounts of terrible yaoi in games.
