>you might just think 'nah, i can tough it out, i don't need to hiatus' or 'i'll feel better tomorrow, i'll definitely tag then' and then suddenly it's the last week of the month and you haven't made AC yet
exactly this. sometimes i only feel shitty for a couple of days, sometimes i can't get my groove back until two weeks later. i'm not going to call a hiatus for every little blip in my radar. i'd be calling enough hiatuses and even more oops-nevermind-false-alarm un-hiatuses that the mods would be having words with me. it's not something that cripples me every week or anything but it's not something that i like to draw unecessary attention to when i know it'll pass eventually
why should i have to hiatus every time i get a tingle of feeling shitty when i could just instead play in a game where ac is low enough that i could fall back on it if things got bad? i can get by with a bad month if i have to, the mods don't have to worry about babysitting me and my issues, and other players won't have to feel like i'm getting special treatment
it's a win/win/win and idg why anyone would have a problem with that
