I'm still batting around ideas for a game that's a blend of science fiction and fantasy. Sort of borrowing heavily from Vampire Hunter D, but with less horror aspects to it?

I'm thinking of either basing it in a regular village with lots of nearby stuff to explore, or have it as a sort of village on treads, borrowing from Tale of the Dead Town, to give it more of a mobile, "You're not trapped in one place" kind of feel. Unfortunately, other than having some bad guys chasing them or trying to raid the town, most of what I'm coming up with in terms of plots right now are kind of... Slice of Lifey 'Repair the town!' elements mixed with 'Get materials to fix the town!' fetch quests, which I'm not sure would attract a lot of players.

Do you all mind if I just bounce some ideas back and forth and see what sticks?
