overexfoliation is bad for your skin though. particularly if you're prone to acne, you will irritate and dry out your skin. you're better off using something that will remove bacteria/oil/dirt but not your top dead layer of skin, which is actually pretty useful and there for actual reasons (among other things, for protecting against sun damage).
the point i was making about the egg being chemical is that there are good and bad things to use on your hair/body but "chemicals" is not the defining difference. there are good and bad natural products to use, and good and bad synthetic products. not all shampoo/conditioner is evil because it's all made using different chemicals, and some of those chemicals are good for you and some of them aren't.
this issue just annoys me because i used to suffer with acne pretty badly and firstly used a lot of stripping synthetic products, which didn't work, then i bought into the "no chemicals" fad and used all natural products, which didn't work, and then i learned the actual scientific facts and now use synthetic products that are good for me along with natural products that are good for me. and my acne is like 100 times better.
