Actually, I think an AU where Adachi had the same personality but Souji started off the killings before he could would be incredibly interesting. I'd love to see it. But Skyla isn't writing/playing it that way.

What Skyla doesn't realize is that Adachi's personality isn't because of the role he plays in the story. That doesn't even make sense. Rather, the role he plays in P4 is because of his personality. The fact that Adachi feels shunned by the world, jealously hates with a passion everyone with talent/people who can make something of themselves, and is incredibly terrible to women are core parts of his character. Changing those things changes the character completely, and he's no longer recognizable. If I were to read those tags and strip away the names and icons, I can think of two other characters I might guess and neither of them are anything at all like Adachi.
AU isn't supposed to change core things about characters. I am being more than a "bit" flexible about this. There are certain things that make characters who they are.
