i see exactly what you mean there, anon, and i agree completely. isashuu really is a lot more likely to actually become attached to people who are very nice to him. personally i think he's perfectly capable of friendship, and that the problem with him in hatoful (both shuu route and hurtful route) is that he's so insanely focused on other things that isn't willing to or interested in forming any genuine bonds (i mean, even with hiyoko there's no emotional connection).

in fact, he's been... kind of making some friends over at the game i play him in. things are a little complicated now after his canon update, but this is a really interesting development to plan out and write. though i realize this might be a controversial view, haha.

it is, it is. i find myself wondering about their relationship quite a lot. not even going to lie, i'm very intrigued by ryuuji in general since he pretty much is the one and only person isashuu looks up to... and very likely has a crush on (is that considered canon?).
