I hope someone manages to set up a successful one some day. Zombie games almost seem to have some kind of curse hanging over them that causes them to die. I remember the two zombie games opened last year, the_rotting_rpg and left4deadrp, both died quickly due to mod neglect/abandonment. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen one where the mods stuck with it long enough for it to thrive. Makes me sad.
