I had this problem too for a bit. The issue was with Quicktime.

If Quicktime Alternative is no longer working, I'd recommend installing an older version of Quicktime, which is what I had to do. The problem was that I had Quicktime 7.7 which is apparently incompatible, so I went and installed Quicktime 7.6 and it worked fine after that. (Link here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL762 )
