I'm still holding out for a Harvest Moon themed game. It'd be one where the character chooses to arrive of their own volition or, if some characters need a push, a goddess' whisper in their mind slowly convinces them to go to the farming village.

When characters arrive they have a chance of getting their own small farm where they can choose what to specialize in, though they have to pay the mayor for it later, or they can become assistants to one of the shop owners and learn a trade. Maybe even have existing farmers willing to put up a stranger(New arrival) in their home in exchange for free labor.

It would of course have the familiar festivals including the contests and maybe a circus as well.
