Except I do think it could be interesting, in that 'this is wholly unhealthy for everyone involved and will probably explode horribly any second now' sort of way. But everyone I've encountered who plays it seems to just gloss over all the issues.

agreed.

it's sad because there's so much potential for a really horrible, dysfunctional dynamic (especially in early s1) and i'd imagine it's a lot of fun to play... but fandom turns it into this sappy twu wuv character-breaking awfulness from what i've seen of it, which makes me avoid it.

It's honestly the femmeslash version of Destiel, right down to the cast-harassing fanbase and the rabid hate of any opposing genitals that get near either woman.

Yeah, on one hand I'm glad there's this much rabid insanity for the girlslash for once.

On the other hand, these fans harass the actors if they don't throw in their support behind it and rip the writers to shreds for not catering to their ship and that's gross regardless of what genitals are being bumped together.
