rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

i doubt mods even read the shit and then it's a colossal waste of your time if you play from an obscure canon and you have to write it out

solid personality section and samples. that's all an app really needs

this was the aim for the "background" section for a single fandom game i used to help mod

way too many people only gave the history there so we ended up splitting it

i like writing histories :(

I...do too, anon, but then again, I've never played characters from super long running canons. If you like it, you could put up what you've written on the character's journal for the convenience of others/yourself,

I'm working on building a game myself and I'm planning on taking the history section completely out. In fact I plan on cutting out the majority of what is considered 'common' in apps. 90% of the app is going to be writing samples based on picking a few prompts from a list of game specific ones I'll have listed on the app page. I dun care if you can rewrite the wiki's history and personality section in your own words. What I care about is you showing your character's personality in your writing.

I've always wished more games would offer sample prompts, so thank you.
