Rundown:

rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 3,000. Please refrain from spamming so we can stretch these entries for a little longer. i see your point, and this is all my opinion of course, but i just... am never excited about IC Q&As, i guess? like, if i were going to bullet point my personality section in the first person, i would do that in the first place. i, personally, have never run into an IC Q&A that had questions to answer that weren't like pulling teeth to write anything interesting.

imo!! the Q&A format is kind of... stiff. like, in a single cohesive personality piece, it sounds... cohesive. a Q&A might cover all the bases, but since it's bound to switch topics suddenly, it could ~disrupt the jive~ and IDK, maybe i'm the only one who'd get thrown off and not enjoy writing that kind of app, but. yes....

a few games i've seen that have IC Q&As have other sample options you can choose instead, but i'm not sure how you'd incorporate everything you want to into that.

I guess what I'll have to do is make sure the Q&A is very diverse, not redundant, and setting-related. And I doubt it'd be that hard to smoothly transition a "conversation" with the Q&A.

I'll take your experiences and keep them in mind, though! I still definitely want to try out something that isn't essay writing, since I've had some people in my games that could write very good character analysis but not necessarily deliver the "voice" of a character :')
