i play a character who's not human, but not obviously so (he could easily pass off as a regular guy). he's not so secretive about this and will casually bring it up if the conversation ever leads to it, or he'll talk about certain personal habits that would hint to him not being human but it wouldn't be easy to guess his exact species just from that.

he mentioned to a character about one of those quirky habits and that character immediately said something like "I'M GUESSING YOU'RE A (my guy's species) THEN, HUH??". i'm canonblind so idk if the character is good at deducing things, but i kinda doubt any other person could so easily jump to that correct conclusion with just the one thing my character said to go off of (it was a habit that most normal humans wouldn't have, but a variety of other non-human beings would probably do). somewhat side-eyeing since the other character seemed obnoxiously smug about getting the right answer as if they ~unveiled~ a great secret, too, even though my character was only mildly surprised they got it so quickly.

suspecting infomodding but still on the fence of unsure. thoughts?
