Which basically may mean it's a known issue and EA is "working hard to resolve it".

I say that in quotes because they have a few of those that have existed for quite some time. They really don't appear to be working to resolve any of it, and instead make life miserable for everyone else.

And if you think you got shit support, I had one customer tell me EA outright promised a refund for a product they don't even have the power to refund. It would be like EA telling you that you could go back to the store and get a refund for your disc, but no store will refund an opened game.
