It’s like being mad at someone for not knowing a foreign language, when all they’ve ever known is their own. You could, of course, get mad at them for not ever realizing that there are other languages, but what good does that do? Also, they may have been told growing up that there weren’t any other languages, and it wasn’t until later that they learned the truth.

Of course, “languages” is just a metaphor, but considering that social justice movements (especially online ones, it seems) have their own language, and definitions, I think it’s a valid one. Thoughts?
