That's weird behavior given that I think his canon point is early in Thor? So even though he does act more dramatic in The Avengers, he should still be at the point where he's more manipulative and calculating instead of crazed from everything that's happened to him. Going between caring about other people far more than he has in either film, to acting way more over the top than he should at that canon point, doesn't make for a great Loki.
