That's the thing; it makes me think the OP was rooting for buttpats, otherwise he would have probably been glad to get people thinking about the issues and discussing them. Everyone was acting calmly and rationally, and there was some genuinely good points in the comments. I'd say it was more valuable for the discussion than the actual post.
