nobody speaks up about it as much only because the drama back then didn't make the games closing down, and also if you haven't noticed most newer sex games now make the sex-or-die component optional

also the reason so many people get antsy about rape plots getting shoved in people's faces in regular games is probably because there are a significant number of rape survivors in RP

I don't think it should be too hard to figure out why they'd get upset over insensitive assholes using rape or the threat of rape as a vehicle to get their precious snowflake the entire game's attention

at least sex games are separate spaces that are upfront about being friendly to rape kink so people who are uncomfortable about that can safely avoid those games

it's not something people expect to have to deal with in regular games so yes they will get upset when it's presented in a way that the entire game is forced to respond to, regardless of whether the post itself is properly labeled
