rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. i think an important thing to keep in mind is how focus on justice; yes, i know that it's the main thing, how can you forget it, etc. but there's more to it than just her being a *~*~warrior of justice*~~*!

first of all, she is extremely self-righteous. This can be seen in her conversation with Kyouko, a magical girl with far more experience than she has. Despite Kyouko's words of warning, she ignores them, writing Kyouko off as a bad person. After all, she can't regret becoming a magical girl, right? She did the right thing. She's helping people.

She's also extremely impulsive, acting on whims, and doing whatever is necessary to achieve her goals. She often ends up regretting thigns she does because of this. Her decision to become a magical girl is a drastic one. It's not utnil way later on she realizes her mistake. This is also seen when she lashes out on Madoka, saying she doesn't need her sympathy and that if she was truly sympathetic, she'd join her in the fight. After Madoka runs away, she acknowledges that she shouldn't have said such harsh things.

At her core, Sayaka is a good person, she just has a poor way of going about things, and a very vigilante way of thinking. This is probably why she is so hard to work with, from other magical girls' perspectives, and why Homura thinks of her as a danger to Madoka. If you could sum up her attitude as a magical girl into a trope, it would be 'well intentioned extremist'. she never wants to do harm to anyone. in fact, she wants to help everyone, to save them from witches. this just ends up backfiring on her.

Sayaka also is one who cracks under pressure. Once it's revealed to her what exactly becoming a magical girl means, she begins to break down, whereas Kyouko is able to deal with it, and even see the advantages of it. Sayaka, on the other hand, becomes depressed and more than a little insane, despairing to the point of wanting to die and turning into a witch.
